Elegant and modest sized midcentury wall cabinet bookcase created by the Dutch Fristho furniture company. Attractive combination of teak veneer and Japanese seagrass wall panelling.
This very rare modular system was designed by Marten Franckena, 1962. It stands on steel legs. The system consists of 3 steel legs, 2 wall panels, 4 shelves and 2 cabinets ( of which 1 has 3 drawers). Easy to assemble and disassemble.
Great wood color, nice grain in the teak veneer. The Japanese grass fabric on the back is original and evokes a warm atmosphere.
Condition is good with light wear consistent with age and use. Has been oiled and metal legs spray painted, so ready to be used.
