A very rare lounge chair by A.A. Patijn for Poly-Z Joure. This interior decorator/architect designed a furniture line “Poly-Z” that had elements of Art Deco combined with classical elements. But he clearly was also influenced by his era, the 1950s. This chair with a high back, since it is the gentlemans version, has been brought back to this era by a new upholstery. It has been reupholstered with Kvadrat Steelcut Trio. The chair would look great in a modern interior as well as a more mid century room. The footstool is not by Zijlstra but looks complementary to the chair and has been reupholstered in the same fabric. The chair comes with an extra cushion, see pictures.
