Much desired coffee table by William Watting for Fristho, which is often attributed to Gio Ponti or Giordano Chiesa. A very special design due to the organic warm walnut wood combined with the transparent glass, with elegant Art Deco elements such as the brass ornament in the centre of the table and the curved clover design of the wooden frame. This table is documented in the book “Fristho ‘Vooruitstrevende meubelen, 1921-1978′” by Bert Looper, page 129 (2014).
This table is in a good vintage condition. The glass top has been renewed and is therefor in perfect condition. An iconic piece of midcentury design from Holland.
